Hello, my name is Zoey McNeil, and I’m a queer, nerdy, and passionate 16 year old artist. This year has been a large turning point for me both artistically and personally. As an artist I’ve grown immensely from just last year, improving my craft, and getting my creativity to really stick on a canvas, and part of that is due to my growth as a person. This last year I’ve experienced so much: heartache, joy, anxiety, dread, insecurity, euphoria, belonging. I’ve gained new friends, became distant with old ones, the whole high school experience you’d typically expect. And while my mental wellbeing what’s generally stayed consistent (thankfully) all of this has made me reflect, and this reflection typically transformed into my art (funny how that all connects huh). In this summer show you’ll see a lot of different stuff, all reflecting different subjects that have interested me, politics, fanart, and personal pieces. Hope you enjoy!
