Does your pre-teen love art? Looking for a studio where they can flourish and evolve artistically as they grow older?
Youth Arts Collective is bringing back TAG, with workshops open to artists ages 11-13. Explore collage, mobile making, painting & ceramics with us!
TAG sessions happen two Saturdays per month, 10am-12pm
September 6 & 13: Collage & Mixed Media / Paper Sculpture & Mobiles
9/6, Collage & Mixed Media: Use magazines, tissue paper, and Posca pens to build bold, textured collages that are totally your own.
9/13, Paper Sculpture & Mobiles: Choose your vibe—butterflies, spirals, or hearts—and bring them to life in 3D. In this workshop, you’ll build hanging paper mobiles that pop with color, movement, and creativity.
October 18 & 25: Found Object Mobiles
10/18, Part 1: Create hanging art using natural treasures and shiny surprises—sticks, shells, beads, jewelry bits, and even handmade ceramics! Begin collecting and composing your mobile during this session.
10/25, Part 2: Finish building your one-of-a-kind mobile using sticks, shells, beads, and more. No two mobiles are alike in this playful, hands-on session!
November 8 & 15: Ceramics
11/8, Part 1: Get your hands dirty with handbuilding! Build mini sculptures, ceramic tiles, and festive holiday ornaments.
11/15, Part 2: Bring your creations to life with color! In this session, you'll learn how to glaze your sculptures, tiles, and ornaments to make them shine.
September & October TAGsters will have an opportunity to be in our Winter Show alongside YACsters and mentors!
November TAGsters will get to take home their own hand-built ceramic pieces!
