Support YAC this summer đź’ś
You belong here.
That’s the message we share with every YACster when they first walk through our doors. It’s more than a welcome, it’s a promise. A promise that they belong, that their voice matters, and that creativity can be a lifeline.
For 25 years, YAC has been a creative sanctuary for young artists, a place where mentorship is rooted in inclusivity, and every voice is valued. It’s this culture of belonging that makes YAC more than an art space.
“At first I was hesitant to join YAC because I felt like people wouldn’t get me, but when I met Frances, one of the older college-aged YACsters, they made me feel welcomed and less nervous. As I discovered the YACsters and mentors had more similarities to me (queer, neurodivergent, people of color) it started to feel like my second home.” —Charli (18, Marina High)
Life as a young person can feel isolating, especially when the rhetoric makes you feel marginalized and scared for your future.
At YAC, we stand with affirmation: You belong here.
You deserve to feel safe.
“I want to be here all the time. YAC is the nice warm house I walk into from the rain and craziness I feel outside. I will be listened to and heard here. YAC opens up safe doors for young artists, when they might not have one in their life or surrounding community.” —Margaux (18, Monterey High)
YAC is a sanctuary for creative free spirits, LGBTQIA+ youth, allies, neurodivergent thinkers, & those bold enough to challenge the status quo.
Will you help us protect & empower our kids?
This summer, join us in raising $36,000 to keep this creative sanctuary open and thriving. Your gift ensures YAC programming remains accessible to every young artist who needs it.
