Monterey County Gives! is now open

Dear Friends,

As we celebrate Youth Arts Collective’s 25th year, we are filled with pride and gratitude for all that this organization has become and for the incredible young people who continue to define it. For a quarter of a century, YAC has been a creative home where youth can discover their voices, develop their craft, and find a deep sense of belonging.

Every day, we see remarkable growth in our YACsters, not just as artists but as leaders and changemakers in their communities. Through the guidance of professional local artists and the support of one another, these young people are learning to lead with empathy, courage, and creativity. Their journeys remind us that the arts do not just inspire expression; they cultivate resilience.

This year, a total of 90 young artists, many identifying as LGBTQ+, BIPOC, or neurodivergent, have found that sense of home and purpose within our studio walls. YAC has become a place where individuality is celebrated and creativity thrives. Through our alumni outreach efforts, we’ve learned that alumni continue to carry YAC’s values into the world, leading projects, organizations, and movements that reflect the spirit of community and kindness they first experienced here.

As we enter this season of gratitude and launch our 2025 MC Gives! campaign, your continued support ensures that YAC will remain that haven of creativity and belonging for the next generation. Together, we can honor this 25-year legacy by helping even more young artists dream boldly, create fearlessly, and lead with heart.

With heartfelt thanks,

Jesse Juarez & Marissa Serna
Executive Director & Program Director
