What YAC Provides

YAC's Successes

• Students from eight local high schools, three local colleges and independent study
• Providing a reliable and effective program since January 2000
• 500 members strong, adding more monthly
• 95% go on to college (many with scholarships)
• Participated in and created 175 art exhibits between 2000-2012
• Public murals (on Alvarado Street, at CHOMP, My Museum, Ordway Pharmacy, Head Start, Monterey Public Library)
• Paintings, illustrations and videos commissioned by local businesses and individuals
• Paid apprenticeships and part time jobs where YACsters learn art and business skills
• Many YACsters accepted in InnerSPARK (CAL Arts Summer Program)
